Kenya is set to host the “Ai Everything Kenya” summit in Nairobi from May 19 to 21, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the country’s emergence as a regional leader in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital innovation. This event, organized by KAOUN International—the global organizer behind GITEX—will be held in collaboration with Kenya’s Office of the Special Envoy on Technology and dx⁵.

The summit is expected to attract a diverse array of participants, including policymakers, technologists, academics, private sector leaders, civil society members, creatives, and development partners. The agenda will focus on six key themes: AI, agri-tech, cloud computing, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), and sustainability.

Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo emphasized the event’s significance, stating that hosting Ai Everything Kenya is both a recognition of the country’s achievements and a call to action. He highlighted Kenya’s positioning at the heart of Africa’s digital transformation, where AI serves as a catalyst for economic inclusion, public service reform, and sustainable development.

Philip Thigo, Kenya’s Special Envoy on Technology, noted that bringing the event to Nairobi for the first time outside the UAE underscores Kenya’s stature as a trusted convener of global conversations on the future of technology.

This announcement aligns with Kenya’s broader digital transformation agenda. In March 2025, the country launched its National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2025–2030, aiming to position Kenya as a regional leader in AI research, innovation, and commercialization. The strategy focuses on three core pillars: AI digital infrastructure, data and AI governance, and AI research and innovation.

The upcoming Ai Everything Kenya summit is anticipated to catalyze partnerships and investments, accelerating the responsible and inclusive deployment of emerging technologies across the continent. It represents a significant opportunity for stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue and collaboration, shaping the future of AI and digital innovation in Africa.
