Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has recently been at the center of several notable events:
On March 19, 2025, administrative officials in Kiharu, Murang’a County, notably absented themselves from a development meeting organized by MP Ndindi Nyoro. The event marked the unveiling of a new Assistant County Commissioner’s office. Traditionally, such occasions see attendance from local chiefs and police officers; however, this time, only residents were present. This absence occurred shortly after Nyoro addressed his removal as the National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee Chairman, stating he was unaware of the reasons behind his ouster, as the Kenya Kwanza coalition had not engaged him in any discussions regarding his position.
This follows after he recently expressed uncertainty regarding his removal as chairperson of the influential Budget and Appropriations Committee. He stated that he had not been informed about the reasons for his replacement, highlighting a lack of communication from the coalition leadership.
In a recent interview, Ndindi Nyoro discussed his relationship with President William Ruto, indicating that their interactions had diminished since October 2024. He refrained from revealing his next political moves, requesting patience from his supporters.
He has recently addressed the media on several occasions. Notably, he held a press briefing at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, marking his first public appearance since his removal as the Chair of the Budget and Appropriations Committee.
During the briefing, Nyoro expressed his commitment to serving his constituents and addressed the recent political developments concerning his position. He emphasized his dedication to development and respect in politics, stating, “I will continue to respect people; but let it not come a day when someone sees respect and thinks people are afraid”
