Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has travelled to Nigeria to attend the Future Africa Leaders Awards, a ceremony that recognises young Africans making outstanding contributions to the continent’s development.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Office of the Wiper Patriotic Front leader said Kalonzo departed Kenya earlier in the day after receiving an invitation from the organisers of the awards, led by African Leaders Awards founder Chikki Onigbanjo.
The ceremony is being held at the Loveworld Nation Arena in Asese Base, Lagos, and brings together political leaders, youth innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from across Africa.
According to the statement, Kalonzo was invited as an honoured guest in recognition of his long-standing leadership experience and recent international accolades. Among them is his recognition as the London Political Summit and Awards 10th Anniversary Africa Political Leader and Personality of the Year.
“The WPF Party Leader’s participation underscores his continued commitment to pan-African unity, youth empowerment, and the advancement of leadership excellence across the continent,” the statement read.
The party added that Kalonzo is expected to return to the country shortly after the conclusion of the event.
