Kenya Police FC have officially unveiled Serbian coach Dusan Stojanović as their new head coach, following the departure of Burundian tactician Etienne Ndayiragije.

Stojanović, who brings vast experience from top clubs across Africa, signed his contract on Sunday evening, November 2, in the presence of club chairman Gideon Nyale Munga and the Secretary General. The signing ceremony was followed by his public unveiling at the Police Sacco Stadium, moments after the team’s 0–0 draw with Posta Rangers in a tightly contested FKF Premier League fixture.

The 47-year-old Serbian has a strong track record, most recently guiding Uganda’s SC Villa to their record 17th league title in the 2023/24 season. He has also worked as assistant coach at Egyptian giants Zamalek, serving under fellow Serbians Milutin “Micho” Sredojević and Yannick Ferrera — experiences that have sharpened his tactical acumen and knowledge of African football.

Kenya Police FC, the reigning FKF Premier League champions, currently sit 17th in the standings with five points from three matches, though they have four games in hand. The club’s management is confident that Stojanović’s appointment will reinvigorate the team as they seek to reclaim their dominant form.

“Following the departure of Coach Ndayiragije, the executive and board of trustees have acquired the services of Coach Dusan, who has already landed and is ready to take charge,” said Chairman Gideon Nyale Munga during the unveiling. “He has worked across South, North, and East Africa, and with his exposure and experience, we believe Police FC will reach even greater heights.”

Stojanović’s first assignment will be a midweek fixture against Sofapaka FC at the Police Sacco Grounds — a game expected to mark the beginning of his tactical reign with the Law Enforcers.

Having watched the team’s draw against Posta Rangers from the stands, the Serbian tactician praised the players’ spirit but stressed the need for sharper finishing.

“For now, everything is perfect except the result. The boys gave everything on the field, but we’re just lacking goals. I believe with time we’ll get better,” he said.

He also promised to instill a winning mentality and disciplined style of play:

“What we can promise is hard work, and that we’ll never give up. We’ll always fight for what is our target and goal.”

As Kenya Police FC embark on a new chapter under Stojanović, the club’s faithful will be hoping his leadership sparks a strong title defense and solidifies the team’s position among Kenya’s football elite.
