Detectives at Kayole Police Station in Nairobi are holding a senior imam following a violent altercation at a mosque in Njiru, Nairobi County. The incident, which occurred on Friday, April 18, 2025, reportedly stemmed from a leadership dispute within the mosque’s administration.​

According to police reports, the imam allegedly stabbed two individuals during the confrontation, causing serious injuries. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.​
