The Kenya U-20 rugby team, popularly known as Chipu, is gearing up for a fierce showdown against Namibia in their second fixture of the 2025 Rugby Africa U-20 Barthes Trophy, set to take place on Wednesday at the Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Chipu started their campaign on a strong note with a 29-21 victory over Tunisia, continuing their dominance from last year when they also defeated Tunisia in the 2024 edition. Coached by Simon Jawichre, the team led 19-11 at halftime, and both sides added 10 points each in the second half, securing Kenya’s win thanks to their explosive first-half performance.
Their upcoming opponents, Namibia, are also coming into the match with confidence after a resounding 41-22 win over hosts Zimbabwe in their opening game. The Namibians showcased sharp attacking form, signaling a tough test for the reigning champions.
The Kenya vs Namibia clash is scheduled for 1:00pm, followed by the match between Tunisia and Zimbabwe at 4:00pm.

The final round of matches will be played on Sunday, 27 April, with Namibia taking on Tunisia at 12:00pm, and the tournament potentially culminating in a title-decider between Kenya and Zimbabwe at 3:00pm.
