Police in Bomet have arrested a 22-year-old man, Brian Koech, after he was found living with a 17-year-old schoolgirl in his house for two days. The incident happened in Kapkoitim village, Sotik sub-county, where police officers, acting on a tip-off from members of the public, raided Koech’s home. During the operation, the girl was discovered hiding under the suspect’s bed while still dressed in her school uniform.
Investigations revealed that the student, who attends Kamungei Mixed Boarding School, had reportedly gone home to collect school fees but instead chose to stay with her boyfriend. Both Koech and the girl were taken to Kapkatet Hospital for medical examinations before being escorted to Kapletundo Police Station. Authorities confirmed that the two will be presented in Sotik court to face charges.
