Ruto Reaffirms Focus on Service Delivery, Launches Major Projects in Busia

President William Ruto has reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing development while downplaying political attacks from opposition leaders.

Speaking during an inspection tour in Funyula Constituency, Busia County, the Head of State said his government would dedicate most of its energy to serving Kenyans rather than engaging in political distractions.

“When our competitors rise to engage on issues, we shall meet them there with clarity and reason. But when they descend into insults and distractions, we shall not lose focus; we will dedicate 1% of our time to respond to them. The remaining 99% would be directed toward serving Kenyans,” Ruto stated.

During the visit, President Ruto inspected the Nangina Affordable Housing Project, noting that legal challenges that had delayed the initiative had been resolved. He expressed confidence that the project would be completed within six months.

The President also launched the construction of the 15-kilometre Matayos-Nangina-Sio Port Mumbaka road, a KSh773 million project aimed at improving connectivity and boosting economic activity in the region.

The projects drew positive reactions from residents, with one citizen praising the President’s focus on service delivery:

“Spot on! Your focus towards serving Kenyans is admirable. The Nangina Affordable Housing Project and the Matayos-Nangina and Nangina Sio Port Mumbaka roads are huge wins for Busia County. Looking forward to seeing these projects transform the lives of residents. Keep driving progress,” the supporter said.

The President’s tour highlights his administration’s emphasis on infrastructure development and housing, reinforcing its pledge to improve livelihoods and economic opportunities across the country.
