The red card carries a suspension that will now rule him out of Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League clash against Crystal Palace. Liverpool captain Andy Robertson also addressed the incident, calling the red card “stupid” but expressed confidence that Ekitiké will learn from the experience. “We’ve all made mistakes early in our careers,” Robertson said. “The important thing is he understands the cost and doesn’t repeat it.”
