Kariobangi North Member of the Nairobi City County Assembly (MCA), Joel Munuve, has passed away.
According to family sources, the vocal MCA died while receiving treatment at AAR Hospital along Kiambu Road, where he had been rushed after complaining of pain on the morning of Tuesday, April 22.
Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai confirmed the incident, stating that Munuve had been picked up from his home by a friend identified as Peter. However, while on the way to town, Munuve began experiencing sharp pain.
“He was picked from home by a friend, Peter, but on the way coming to town he started complaining of some pain. He just died in front of the hospital here,” said Alai.
Alai added that burial arrangements will be announced in due course. “We pray that his soul rests in peace,” he said.
Joel Munuve was elected as an independent candidate during the 2022 general elections, winning the Kariobangi North Ward seat. He was known for his bold voice in the assembly and strong commitment to grassroots development.
